SREF Fairway Fertilizers
Piece For Piece, More Dependable Release.
Throughout the season, Scotts fairway fertilizers with SREF (Slow Release Encapsulated Fertilizer) will outperform other sulfur-coated urea (SCU) products because SREF provides a more consistent release pattern
Other SCUs require a coating of sulfur, followed by a waxy sealant, followed by another coating of conditioner. Each layer is a variable that an affect nitrogen release.
But Scott screens urea particles more carefully for uniform size and spherical shape, and then coats these urea particles using a computer-controlled coating process that covers completely with a single coat of sulfur. With this process, there's no need for sealants and conditioners to mask imperfections. They are covered completely with a single coat of sulfur. That means the nitrogen will be released steadily and safely regardless of weather conditions over a predictable period of time.
Scotts unique SREF technology can be found in four fertillizers for fairways, roughs and large turf areas:
34-3-7 Turf Fertilizer is a cost-effective, high-quality formulation for good greening response and sustained feeding.
22-3-10 Turf Fertilizer with Iron provides good green-up plus extended feeding for regular maintenance of fairway turf, with sufficient iron in plant-available form to correct and prevent deficiencies.
19-3-19 Turf Fertilizer offers a high nitrogen rate and high potassium level to provide quick green-up regardless of season and a good greening response for up to two months.
16-24-12 Turf Starter Fertilizer promotes vigorous seedling development and root establishment in new seedings.
And only ProTurf products come with a Scott Tech Rep, an agronomically trained professional ready to help you develop a total turfgrass plan to assure proper application and maintenance scheduling.
